# Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of LETHE Protocol, including asklethe.ai, LETHE APIs, chat interfaces, Studio, developer tools, documentation, and related products and services collectively referred to as the "Services."

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.

## 1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Services.

You may not use the Services where doing so would violate applicable law, sanctions, export controls, or other legal restrictions.

If you use LETHE on behalf of a company, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

## 2. The Services

LETHE provides access to artificial intelligence models and related functionality through products including:

* AI chat
* Content generation
* Image generation
* Image editing
* Studio tools
* APIs
* Developer interfaces
* Wallet-based functionality
* Privacy-enhancing infrastructure
* Blockchain-related functionality
* Other AI-powered tools

Features, models, quotas, routing methods, interfaces, and technical infrastructure may change over time.

LETHE may add, modify, limit, suspend, replace, or discontinue any part of the Services.

## 3. Accounts

Certain features may be available without an account.

Other functionality may require authentication through methods such as:

* Email
* Google
* Discord
* Blockchain wallets
* Other supported authentication mechanisms

You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account and for maintaining control of the authentication methods associated with it.

You must take reasonable steps to protect your account from unauthorized access.

## 4. Wallet Connections

LETHE may allow users to authenticate or access functionality by proving control of a blockchain wallet through cryptographic signatures.

Connecting a wallet does not, unless expressly stated otherwise:

* Transfer ownership of digital assets
* Give LETHE custody of digital assets
* Give LETHE access to private keys
* Authorize arbitrary blockchain transactions
* Allow LETHE to control the wallet

LETHE will never require a wallet seed phrase or private key.

Users are solely responsible for protecting wallet credentials and verifying blockchain transactions before approving them.

## 5. API Keys

LETHE may issue API credentials that provide access to developer functionality.

Users are responsible for:

* Keeping API keys confidential
* Preventing unauthorized use
* Monitoring applications using their credentials
* Complying with applicable quotas
* Complying with rate limits
* Protecting credentials embedded in software

You may not:

* Publicly expose API credentials
* Sell API credentials
* Farm API keys
* Circumvent access restrictions
* Circumvent quotas
* Circumvent rate limits
* Use multiple accounts, wallets, addresses, or credentials to evade restrictions
* Attempt to defeat LETHE security controls

LETHE may revoke, rotate, suspend, or limit API credentials where reasonably necessary.

## 6. User Input

"Input" means prompts, images, documents, code, files, instructions, media, data, or other content submitted to the Services.

You retain any rights that you hold in your Input.

You grant LETHE a limited, worldwide right to process, transmit, reproduce, transform, and otherwise use Input only as reasonably necessary to:

* Provide the requested Services
* Route requests to AI providers
* Maintain functionality
* Protect security
* Prevent abuse
* Comply with applicable law

You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit your Input.

You may not submit content in a manner that unlawfully violates another person's intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, contractual, or other legal rights.

"Output" means content generated, returned, created, transformed, or produced through the Services.

Artificial intelligence systems are probabilistic.

Output may be:

* Incorrect
* Incomplete
* Misleading
* Outdated
* Offensive
* Unexpected
* Non-unique
* Unsuitable for a particular purpose

LETHE does not guarantee that Output is accurate, complete, unique, current, lawful for every intended use, or free from third-party rights.

You are responsible for evaluating Output before relying on it.

You should obtain appropriate professional review before using Output for:

* Legal decisions
* Medical decisions
* Financial decisions
* Investment decisions
* Tax matters
* Security-sensitive decisions
* Employment decisions
* Credit decisions
* Insurance decisions
* Other high-impact activities

## 8. Rights in Output

As between the user and LETHE, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, LETHE does not claim ownership of Output generated specifically in response to that user's Input.

This does not guarantee that Output qualifies for copyright, patent, trademark, or other intellectual property protection.

AI systems may generate similar or identical Output for multiple users.

Third-party rights and the terms applicable to underlying models, services, or data may also affect use of Output.

## 9. Image and Media Generation

LETHE may allow users to generate, edit, transform, upscale, combine, or modify images and other media.

Users are responsible for ensuring that they have appropriate rights and permissions for uploaded content.

Users must comply with applicable law when creating or distributing synthetic or manipulated media.

* Sexual deepfakes
* Child sexual abuse material
* Fraudulent impersonations
* Deceptive identity documents
* Other prohibited synthetic media

## 10. AI Transparency

Users acknowledge that LETHE is an artificial intelligence service.

Responses, images, code, media, documents, and other content may be created or modified by AI systems.

Where applicable law requires disclosure that content was generated or manipulated using AI, the user is responsible for maintaining those disclosures when publishing or distributing the content.

Users may not intentionally remove legally required provenance information, metadata, watermarking, or machine-readable AI markings for deceptive purposes.

## 11. Acceptable Use

Use of LETHE is subject to the LETHE Acceptable Use Policy.

A violation of the Acceptable Use Policy constitutes a violation of these Terms.
