LETHE Protocol (“LETHE”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides AI-powered chat, content generation, image generation, developer APIs, and related services through asklethe.ai and associated LETHE interfaces, applications, documentation, and APIs collectively referred to as the “Services.” This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, processed, stored, disclosed, and protected when you use the Services. LETHE is designed around privacy, data minimization, and user control. The way information is processed may differ depending on whether you use LETHE as a guest, through an authenticated account, through an API, or through other available interfaces.

1. Information We Process

Account Information

When you create or access an account, we may process information such as:
  • Email address
  • Account identifier
  • Authentication information
  • Authentication timestamps
  • Session information
  • Information provided by third-party authentication services
  • Public blockchain wallet addresses used for authentication or access
Where authentication is provided through services such as Google, Discord, or blockchain wallets, those services may provide LETHE with limited account information necessary to complete authentication.

Wallet Information

When you connect a blockchain wallet, we may process:
  • Public wallet address
  • Blockchain network identifier
  • Cryptographic signatures used to verify wallet ownership
  • Wallet-linked access information
  • API key associations
  • Connection and authentication timestamps
LETHE does not require or request your wallet private key or seed phrase. Connecting a wallet does not give LETHE custody or control of assets held in that wallet. You should never provide a private key or seed phrase through a LETHE prompt, API request, support request, or any other interface.

User Content

When you interact with LETHE, you may submit content including:
  • Prompts
  • Chat messages
  • Code
  • Documents
  • Images
  • Files
  • Instructions
  • Media
  • Other information submitted for processing
We may also process AI-generated responses, images, files, and other outputs resulting from your requests.

2. Guest Usage

Certain LETHE functionality may be used without creating an account. Guest conversation history, interface state, Studio history, preferences, and similar information may be stored locally in your browser through technologies such as local storage. Locally stored history remains associated with that browser and device and may be permanently removed when you clear browser data. Local storage of conversation history does not mean that a prompt remains entirely on your device. Requests must be transmitted to LETHE infrastructure and applicable inference providers in order to generate a response.

3. Temporary Conversations

LETHE may provide conversation modes designed not to add interactions to persistent conversation history. Requests made through these modes must still be processed by LETHE infrastructure and applicable AI providers to generate a response. Temporary processing therefore refers to persistence within LETHE conversation history and does not mean that no technical systems process the request.

4. Signed-In History

When you use an authenticated account, LETHE may store:
  • Conversation history
  • Studio history
  • Generated assets
  • Conversation titles
  • Model selections
  • Timestamps
  • Account-linked metadata
  • Related service information
This information may be stored using third-party database and infrastructure providers. Access controls and security policies are used to restrict account data to authorized users and systems. Users who prefer reduced persistence may choose available guest or temporary modes where appropriate.

5. API Usage

When you use LETHE APIs, we may process:
  • API credentials
  • Wallet-linked access information
  • Requests and responses
  • Model selections
  • Token and usage counts
  • Request timestamps
  • Rate-limit information
  • Error information
  • Security metadata
  • Network information
API content may be processed without being added to user-facing conversation history. Operational metadata may still be processed where reasonably necessary for authentication, rate limiting, service reliability, security, debugging, fraud prevention, abuse detection, and compliance with applicable law.

6. Technical and Network Information

LETHE and its service providers may automatically process technical information necessary to operate the Services, including:
  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • Request timestamps
  • Session identifiers
  • Authentication state
  • Referral information
  • API request metadata
  • Error and diagnostic information
  • Network and security information
We use this information only where reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, develop, and improve the Services.

7. AI and Inference Providers

LETHE provides access to artificial intelligence models and may route requests through third-party model providers, inference providers, routing services, and infrastructure providers. Depending on the selected model and routing configuration, your input may be transmitted to one or more third parties for the purpose of generating the requested output. Different providers may have different technical, contractual, security, and data-retention practices. LETHE seeks to use privacy-preserving configurations where reasonably available, but users should not assume that every external provider follows identical processing or retention practices. LETHE does not intentionally use prompts or outputs for behavioral advertising. LETHE does not use user prompts or outputs to train LETHE-operated models unless separate notice is provided and any consent required by applicable law is obtained.

8. How We Use Information

We may process information to:
  • Provide and operate LETHE
  • Generate AI responses and other content
  • Authenticate users
  • Synchronize account history
  • Verify wallet ownership
  • Issue and manage API credentials
  • Enforce quotas and rate limits
  • Protect the security and integrity of the Services
  • Prevent fraud and abuse
  • Diagnose technical problems
  • Provide customer support
  • Maintain and improve reliability
  • Develop product functionality
  • Enforce our Terms of Use
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations
  • Protect LETHE, users, and third parties
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, LETHE may process personal information on the following grounds:

Processing may be necessary to provide Services requested by the user.

Processing may be necessary for legitimate interests such as:
  • Securing the Services
  • Preventing abuse
  • Maintaining infrastructure
  • Improving reliability

These interests are considered against the rights and interests of affected individuals. Certain optional processing activities may rely on consent where required by applicable law. Information may be processed where required to comply with applicable legal obligations.

10. How We Share Information

LETHE may disclose information to the following categories of recipients.

Infrastructure Providers

Service providers may support hosting, databases, authentication, email delivery, security, monitoring, storage, analytics, documentation, or other technical functions.

AI and Model Providers

Information necessary to perform an inference request may be transmitted to the provider responsible for processing that request.

Authentication Providers

If you use a third-party sign-in service, that provider processes information according to its own terms and privacy practices. Information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to:
  • Comply with applicable law
  • Respond to valid legal process
  • Enforce agreements
  • Investigate security incidents
  • Prevent fraud or abuse
  • Protect users
  • Protect LETHE
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of third parties

Corporate Transactions

Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, insolvency, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable law.

11. Sale and Advertising

LETHE does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. LETHE does not intentionally share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If these practices materially change, users will be provided with any notices and controls required by applicable law.

12. Cookies and Local Storage

LETHE may use cookies, browser local storage, and similar technologies for purposes including:
  • Maintaining authentication sessions
  • Protecting account security
  • Remembering preferences
  • Storing guest conversation history
  • Storing Studio history
  • Maintaining interface state
  • Enforcing security controls
  • Supporting technical functionality
Strictly necessary technologies may be used without optional consent where permitted by applicable law. If LETHE uses non-essential tracking technologies that legally require consent, the appropriate consent mechanism will be provided. Users can remove browser storage through browser settings. Doing so may sign the user out, reset preferences, or permanently remove locally stored guest history.

13. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by applicable law. Retention periods depend on:
  • The type of information
  • How the Services are used
  • Security requirements
  • Fraud-prevention requirements
  • Legal obligations
  • Account status
  • User deletion actions
Locally stored guest history remains on the user’s device until removed by the user, browser, or device. Account-linked history may remain associated with an account until deleted through available controls or removed as part of account deletion, subject to limited technical, security, backup, fraud-prevention, and legal retention requirements. Security and authentication records may be retained for a reasonable period necessary to protect the Services and users. Information may also be retained where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

LETHE uses technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse, and destruction. These safeguards may include:
  • Encryption in transit
  • Encryption technologies
  • Access controls
  • Authentication controls

  • Infrastructure permissions
  • Secret management
  • Confidential computing technologies
  • Monitoring
  • Abuse prevention
  • Cryptographic verification mechanisms
No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting:
  • API keys
  • Wallet credentials
  • Authentication links
  • Email accounts
  • Devices
  • Browser sessions

15. Confidential Computing

LETHE may use privacy-enhancing technologies including:
  • Trusted Execution Environments
  • Client-side encryption
  • Cryptographic attestation
  • Confidential inference
  • Secure execution environments
  • Cryptographic verification
  • Data-minimizing infrastructure
These technologies are intended to reduce exposure of user data during processing and improve the verifiability of the infrastructure used to process requests. The technical privacy properties applicable to a particular request may depend on the model, endpoint, provider, product mode, and infrastructure configuration used for that request.

16. International Data Transfers

LETHE and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where a user is located. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers of personal information, LETHE may use legally recognized transfer mechanisms or other permitted safeguards.

17. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights relating to personal information, including the right to:
  • Request access
  • Request correction
  • Request deletion
  • Request restriction of processing
  • Object to certain processing
  • Withdraw consent
  • Receive certain information in portable form
  • Request information about disclosure practices
  • Submit a complaint to a competent data protection authority
These rights may be subject to applicable legal limitations and exceptions. LETHE may verify identity before processing certain privacy requests. Privacy requests may be submitted through the official contact channels published by LETHE.

18. Sensitive Information

LETHE is a general-purpose AI platform. Users should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information. Users must not submit:
  • Private keys
  • Seed phrases
  • Passwords
  • Authentication secrets
  • Access tokens
  • Other credentials intended to remain secret
If you submit personal information relating to another person, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary authority and lawful basis to do so.

19. AI-Generated Content

Content provided through LETHE may be generated, transformed, edited, or selected by artificial intelligence systems. AI-generated output may contain inaccuracies, fabricated information, bias, or unexpected content. Where legally required, AI-generated or manipulated content may include provenance information, metadata, machine-readable markings, or disclosures indicating its synthetic nature. Users are responsible for maintaining legally required disclosures when publishing or distributing AI-generated content.

20. Children

The Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old. LETHE does not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 18. If LETHE becomes aware that personal information has been collected from a child contrary to applicable law, reasonable steps may be taken to delete it.

21. Third-Party Services

LETHE may contain links to or integrations with independent third-party services. Third parties operate under their own terms, security practices, and privacy policies. LETHE is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third parties.

22. Changes to This Privacy Policy

LETHE may update this Privacy Policy as the Services, technologies, business practices, or legal requirements change. Material changes may be communicated through the Services or other appropriate channels where required by applicable law. The current version of this Privacy Policy will be made available through official LETHE interfaces.
